Submission Terms and Community Guidelines

Effective date: June 2, 2026

Purpose of Submissions

Submissions help build a responsible public record about wildlife, habitat, public process, documents, events, maps, and neighborhood concerns related to preserving Tarpon Woods Golf Course.

Required Standards

  • Submit information you believe is accurate and can be explained or sourced.
  • Include dates, locations, source URLs, agency names, file names, and context where possible.
  • Label opinions, concerns, or interpretations clearly.
  • Respect privacy, property rights, wildlife, and public safety.

Content We May Reject

We may reject submissions that are unverifiable, misleading, defamatory, harassing, threatening, invasive of privacy, copyrighted without permission, obtained through trespass or unsafe conduct, irrelevant, duplicative, spammy, or inconsistent with the preservation mission.

Rights You Grant

By submitting content, you grant Save Tarpon Woods permission to store, review, edit, publish, display, reproduce, distribute, archive, use in newsletters, use in public comments, share with advisors or counsel, and otherwise use the content for preservation, conservation, advocacy, public education, and documentation purposes.

Photo and File Rules

You must own or have permission to submit uploaded photos, videos, documents, or files. Do not upload private personal information, confidential records, medical information, financial information, Social Security numbers, or materials subject to legal restrictions.

Wildlife Safety

Do not approach, feed, handle, trap, disturb, chase, relocate, or endanger wildlife to obtain evidence. Do not enter private property or restricted areas. Safe observations from lawful locations are preferred.

Moderation and Publication

Submissions enter a private moderation queue. Approval is not guaranteed. We may edit summaries, remove personal details, add source context, decline publication, or publish only selected portions.

Survey Responses

Survey disclosures control survey participation. Some surveys are identified and some may be anonymous. Authorized administrators may review identified responses and use exact self-reported answers for aggregate analysis, outreach, volunteer coordination, and requested communication segmentation. Individual answers and comments are not publicly displayed with personal identifiers unless separately and expressly authorized.

Do not share a private access link, submit for another person, attempt duplicates, or include passwords, Social Security numbers, financial-account details, complete insurance policy numbers, or unnecessary sensitive information. Participation does not create an overbroad waiver of legal rights. Global unsubscribe requests always override survey communication preferences.

Property Incident Records: Copies and Retention

A Property Incident Records submission creates a private community documentation copy for Save Tarpon Woods only. It does not automatically notify or file with a golf-course owner, Pinellas County, an insurer, law enforcement, an attorney, a court, or anyone else. Residents must separately send or file materials with every intended outside recipient.

Keep your own complete report and every original file. Do not upload the only copy. Save Tarpon Woods may review, summarize, de-identify, aggregate, archive, or delete information under approved policies and operational needs, and does not guarantee permanent storage, completeness, or future retrieval by a resident or administrator. An internal reference number is not an outside official number or proof of delivery.

Information still in Save Tarpon Woods’ possession may be preserved or disclosed under applicable law or valid legal process. Nothing in these terms authorizes deletion to avoid a preservation duty or lawful process.

Save Tarpon Woods — Protect the course. Protect the creek. Protect the wildlife.
